Legenda pasakoja, kad čia stovi prakeikta ir prasmegusi karčema,

kurioje šeliodavo velniai. Vieną ūkaną pasniko dieną velniai kėlė vestuves.

Visą naktį jie uliavojo, bet vos gaidys paryčiais pragydo, karčema 

su visais velniais žemėn prasmego.
